No public account. No advertising scripts. Your checklist progress belongs in your browser.

What the public site stores

When you use a checklist, this site saves the checked item identifiers in your browser’s localStorage. The keys begin with uxh-checklist-v1:. Your selected color theme uses the key uxh-theme.

This information is not sent to our server by the site, and it does not follow you to another device or browser. Glossary searches are performed on the page and are not submitted to a server.

You control your progress

Use the reset button on a checklist to clear its checked items. The small home-page checklist resets only the items it shows. To remove all saved progress and the theme preference, clear this site’s storage in your browser settings.

If browser storage is blocked, the checklists still work for the current page visit and display a notice when a save fails. Private browsing or clearing site data may remove saved progress.

Cookies and network requests

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept analytics on the production website. It measures visits and page usage and can set first-party analytics cookies for up to 180 days. Advertising consent remains denied. Fonts and graphics are served with the site. We do not send checklist answers or glossary search text as analytics events.

Loading any page still sends a request to the hosting infrastructure. That request includes information such as your IP address, requested URL and browser headers. Hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare when enabled, may process requests and maintain operational logs under their own configuration. Local-only checklist storage does not mean anonymous network access.

Your analytics choice

Accept or decline analytics using the controls near the footer. Reopen Analytics preferences on any page to change your choice. We remember your choice in this browser for 180 days using uxh-analytics-consent-v1. If storage is unavailable, we ask again on the next page.

Declining prevents the Google tag from loading. Withdrawing consent stops tracking and removes Google Analytics cookies set by this site; it does not delete data already received by Google. Clearing browser storage resets your choice. Analytics is disabled on local and preview domains.

When you accept, your browser connects to Google, which processes request information and usage data. See Google privacy policy. Our initial page-view configuration excludes URL query strings and fragments.

External references and the private workspace

Research links take you to separate websites whose privacy practices may differ. The private workspace at /guacamole/ is a separate authenticated application. This note describes the public editorial site, not the workspace’s accounts, sessions or storage.
